Sorgenia and the Mabo group sign agreement to produce energy in an efficient and sustainable way
Sorgenia, the leading private operator in the Italian electricity and
gas market, and the Mabo group, a leading Italian company in industrial
construction, have today signed an agreement which envisages the
installation of 15 MW per year of solar panels on a total of 150,000
square metres of roofs. The agreement will enable Sorgenia to provide
more than 20,000 Mwh of renewable energy per year, avoiding the
emission into the atmosphere of 10,000 tons of CO2. The Mabo group will
build high energy efficiency buildings for its clients with solar
panels, while Sorgenia will sell the energy thus produced at an agreed
price. The objective is to promote the use of solar energy on
industrial roofs in Italy.11 November 2011 | 09:59 CET
