Milan, August 3 2011 – Sorgenia Solar, the subsidiary of Sorgenia SpA (CIR group) active in building and marketing photovoltaic plants, has - following fulfilment of the conditions precedent - today finalized the agreement with RTR group (controlled by Terra Firma) announced on May 12 for the sale of 13 large ground-mounted plants in Italy with a total capacity of 19 MW. The deal, which was envisaged in the business plan of the Sorgenia group, is part of the new strategy adopted by the group in the photovoltaic sector, which involves concentrating its investment in distributed generation with the aim of installing 55 MW by 2016. The deal has a positive impact of approximately 100 million euro on the net financial position of Sorgenia (partly included in the results as of June 30 2011) and will give the group a capital gain of approximately 20 million euro.
